Hi! Homeschooling mom of nine – five of them are teenagers. I have learned so much the last few days about parenting teens and starting to think about college (especially loving the ideas for debt free college, since there is no way we can pay for college for all of them). Enjoyed all of the Empty Nest speakers today. I took a lot of notes for the future. I want to be an intentional adventurer and live life with purpose on purpose as Brenda mentioned. I appreciated the big transition reminder that Laura mentioned about when your youngest child gets his/her driver’s license. That will be us in 2023. The clothing tips were much appreciated as that is not my strength.
Your video was so good, Melanie. I loved how you talked about helping kids to become the best they can be, how you described soft skills, and you reminded us that our kids probably won’t come say thank you for teaching me all.the.things, but they will be grateful for the knowledge.
