If you know of someone doing this diet, it might be fun to surprise them with a fun gift box full of yummy treats that they can eat! So, here are some Best Care Package Subscriptions for Keto.
Have you heard of the keto diet? The ketogenic diet, commonly known as “keto,” is a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet that aims to put the body into a state called ketosis.
How does this diet work? According to Google:
- By drastically reducing carbohydrate intake (typically to less than 50 grams per day), the body depletes its glycogen stores (carbohydrate reserves).
- Without carbohydrates as fuel, the body starts breaking down fat into ketones.
- Ketones are then used as energy by the brain, heart, and other organs.
