Bible Verses for Parents of College Students: When I am Worried about my Child or their Choices
That’s what we mammas do; worry! I recently reread the story of Hannah in 1 Samuel. It is so hard to imagine praying for such a long time for a child and then giving him to God’s service as a very young child, but in faith, she was able to. As our children grow up and leave our nest, we have to give them more independence, but it does not mean we stop praying for them. We also have to remember that God may not be finished with them yet.
I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord. – 1 Samuel 1:27-28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. – Romans 8:28
