Go-To Fun For Grown Kids At Home
Some people might say that older kids don’t need toys. They don’t want to play with them. I am here to strongly disagree. Here is some great go-to fun for grown kids at home!
I have seen my grown sons all turn into little boys again as they play with their four-year-old nephew/son. He loves Play-Doh, Legos, and various other building toys. The four of them create so many fun things.
Toys provide an outlet for them to relax, pretend for a minute that they don’t have grown-up concerns, and interact with the toys and each other. I love the transformation, brief though it may be.
*I will have to collect pics from some of these activities. Since I didn’t know I would be writing this post, I only have pics of my grandson playing with these things. But, believe me, my grown sons play with all of these things. I will add the pics as I get them.

Go-To Fun For Grown Kids At Home
Taking time for fun with your grown kids is a great way to spend time!
The other thing about this “fun” is that it can open up communication. If there are topics that seem to be difficult to bring up, these toys can create a distraction for each of you. Instead of having to look at one another, the focus is on what is being built or created.
I am all about connection and communication, so these are “tools” in a sense. Set one of these out and see what happens.
This is also a great way to relax for you and/or your kids. It’s mindless enjoyment, and our kids, no matter how old they are, are experiencing a life that is more stressful than the one we grew up in. If they are already grown, the pressures of making ends meet can seem overwhelming at times, and these activities are great for forgetting those things for a moment.

This was a go-to for my boys for years. I always had a table set up in the family room that was covered in Legos! They still love to build things when they are out on our island.

Don’t let the age of your grown kids let you think for one minute that they are too old to play. Whether you have grandkids already or not, pull out some old building blocks or order some new ones, and see what happens when you set them out!
