March Madness Care Package

March Madness is one of my favorite times of the year! I love college basketball that much and so do my boys.

I think my oldest son filled out his first bracket when he was 5 years old. He was instantly obsessed with the tournament and has loved basketball to this day. My sons now live many miles away in other states, but we will all watch every second of the tournament we can and have our annual family bracket contest.

The March Madness Care Package Printables are available in the ALL NEW YEAR OF CARE PACKAGE PRINTABLES.

March Madness Care Package: Gather Your Supplies

Gather these supplies to create your March Madness Care Package.

I went to the store to find orange things for the March Madness care package. Who knew there were so many foods and other items that are orange? I was hoping I would not run into anyone I knew because I looked like I had a bizarre new obsession.

You can go to Target, Walmart, or your grocery store and do the same or throw everything in your Amazon cart.

Here are some ideas:

Supply List:

White Cardstock Paper

Dunkin’ K-cup pods for maximum concentration when filling out their bracket.

Tazo Calm Chamomile Tea to soothe the agony of the blown bracket.

USPS Medium or Large Flat Rate Box – available free at the post office (the printables are designed to fit this size box, but you can cut them to any size you wish.)

Orange snacks – Anything cheesy often comes in an orange package. Favorites are Pringles, Blue Diamond Honey Roasted Almonds, Cheez-Its, and Cheddar Goldfish, Doritos, etc.

Cuties Oranges – Draw the ball lines on with a Sharpie.

Orange notebook for mapping out their bracket selections or taking notes in class.

These adorable basketball snack cups.

Tide Pods

Another helpful item is a paper cutter to cut out the tags and the box decorations. The paper cutter is especially helpful if you are having other moms over to create care packages.

March Madness Care Package: Assemble Your Box

  • Print the box decorations from the New Year of Care Package Printables.
  • Tape or glue your box printables. I scotch tape mine to the box. I know some people hot glue them, but they don’t have to stay on the box forever, so tape works fine for me.
